An estimated 1,700 Ukrainians have arrived in Tijuana in recent weeks and are waiting to cross the Mexico border into the United States. Roughly 400 Ukrainians, about 30% of which are women and children, arrived in Tijuana just last weekend, indicating an uptick in migrants coming from Ukraine as the Russian invasion carries on in their homeland.

Enrique Lucero, Tijuana’s migration affairs director, said “they will continue to arrive” and be transferred to a sports center that was converted into a government shelter just north of the city, as well as “improvised camps near the international port of entry, which connects Tijuana and California” reports The Foreign Desk.

On Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Chris Magnus released a statement saying the agency is ramping up personnel and resources at the southwest border as the Biden administration lifts a “pandemic-era policy that effectively shut down asylum at the border.”

Just weeks ago, President Joe Biden said the United States would accept up to 100,000 Ukrainians to resettle in the U.S. this year. It is unclear as to whether Ukrainians coming in through the southern border with Mexico will be considered among that number.

On Friday, Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said his department has sent 600 law enforcement officers to the border and would add more if needed.

Two men face a slew of drug charges after they were reportedly caught in California with enough fentanyl to kill 4.7 million people — and that's in addition to 800 pounds of methamphetamine police discovered, CBS News reported on Friday.
What are the details?

Authorities say 36-year-old Edgar Alfonso Lamas and 53-year-old Carlos Raygozaparedes were busted with the drugs in Ocean County, California — the largest drug bust to take place in the Southern California county in nearly two decades.

On March 17, police made the discovery at a Buena Park home: a whopping 821 pounds of methamphetamine, approximately 190 pounds of cocaine, and more than 20 pounds of fentanyl pills.

“Millions of unsuspecting people have the grim reaper looking over their shoulder and they have no idea how close they actually are to dying from taking a single pill. Fentanyl is cheap, it’s easy to get and it is killing our children, our coworkers, and tens of thousands of innocent Americans who don’t have to die,” Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement on the huge drug bust.

Both Lamas and Raygozaparedes have pleaded not guilty on the drug charges.

They remain in custody on $5 million bail and are due in court on June 7.

The two face a maximum sentence of 37 years and four months in prison if convicted on all counts, which include multiple felony charges of possession for sale of a controlled substance and multiple counts of the sale or transportation for sale of a controlled substance.

Rep. Henry Cuellar, a Texas Democrat, crossed party lines Monday and blasted President Joe Biden for his lacking border policy.

“Right now, when you talk to men and women in green and in blue, they feel demoralized,” Cuellar told Fox and Friends, referencing patrol agents and law enforcement agents along the border. “They don’t feel that Washington has their back. We have to do more than give them a pat on the back.”

When co-host Brian Kilmeade noted that more Democrats are joining Republicans in criticizing the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis, Cuellar pointed to their unity over calling out a double standard of repealing Title 42 and extending the federal mask mandate.

“You can’t say we have a pandemic or a public health issue here but then say everything is fine at the border and then lift the Title 42, which is a health order,” Cuellar said. “You just can’t have both.”

The Democrat also stressed that less than half of the Border Patrol agents are doing work connected to border security.

“This is very important,” Cuellar said, adding that 60% of the Border Patrol agents in the Laredo and Rio Grande Valley sectors "are changing diapers, are making food for the migrants — important work, but they don’t belong there. A 22-year high in apprehensions along the U.S.-Mexico border in March was partly fueled by record arrivals of migrants from Cuba, Nicaragua, Colombia and Ukraine, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) figures released this week show.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) processed migrants 221,303 times along the southern border in March, a 33% jump from February and the highest tally since 2000, according to agency statistics. CBP said 159,900 encounters in March represented unique migrants, citing a 28% rate of repeat border crossings.

The spike in migrant arrivals was also partly driven by a 33% increase in apprehensions of single adults, who accounted for 169,062 — or 76% — of all border encounters. Arrivals of migrant parents and children traveling as families and unaccompanied minors also increased, rising to 37,818 and 14,167, respectively.-- excerpt, rest at link above --

The alien invasion across America’s porous southern border has turned every state into a border state – and every Fake News editor into an agent and a cheerleader for a foreign occupation army.

Here in Maine, 2400 miles northeast of the Texas border, we are the final destination for thousands of illegal immigrants who are being resettled here at taxpayer expense, to the applause of all the really smart people in both political parties.

When I attempted a few weeks ago to push back against a fellow Republican’s praise for the invasion and the invaders, I was confronted once again by the cowardice and ignorance that are the rule rather than the exception in Maine’s lamestream newsrooms.

My dealings with the imbeciles who work in these propaganda mills often remind me of the cheering that erupts at Trump rallies when The Donald derides the Fake News media as the enemies of the American people.

Trump’s characterization fits the Kennebec Journal in Augusta, Maine, and its editorial page editor Ben Bragdon, to a tee. In fact, Ben’s loathing for his native country is so deep-seated he’s convinced himself that the burst of inflation we’re experiencing is the result of TOO FEW immigrants coming to America.

Bragdon flat-out refused to publish my op-ed about the alien invasion, and falsely accused me of making many previous “bigoted and untruthful remarks about immigrants.”

To top it off, the lame excuse he invoked for banning me from the op-ed page was a political cartoon created by my brother John Lockman that I published at my website.

President Joe Biden’s 15-month dismantling of U.S.-Mexico border protections and policies has essentially eliminated efforts to keep illegal immigrants out of the nation, according to the nation’s front-line sheriffs.

“We simply have no border left in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, or Southern California,” said the nation’s sheriffs in a four-paragraph letter to Senate leaders and provided to Secrets.

The letter, signed by Jonathan Thompson, the executive director and CEO of the influential National Sheriffs’ Association, and dozens of top sheriffs, was law enforcement’s latest support for keeping in place Trump-era COVID-19 restrictions known as Title 42, which Biden wants to set aside.

But even with that policy in place, said Thompson, Biden’s team has encouraged 1 million border crossers in just six months, and he warned that the surge had hidden other criminal adventures by illegal immigrants.

“This letter addresses Title 42 so we won’t speak about the amount of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, ghost guns, ammunition and other deadly substances flowing across our border at this very moment. We the undersigned Sheriffs call for the Congress to keep Title 42 and help save American lives,” he wrote.

In pressing for retaining COVID-19 restrictions, the sheriffs said: “The administration since day one, phased out remain in Mexico (overturned by courts), reversed asylum restrictions, implemented 100 day pause on deportations and stopped building the barrier which defines our border. Now, the administration is ending one of our most effective health measures, Title 42, which seeks to return illegal immigrants to their home country during this pandemic. Today, there are thousands of immigrants in the jungles of the Darien gap headed to the US border. We simply don’t know their health status and implore you to keep Title 42 as the last policy we have to keep Americans safe from COVID and a host of other communicable diseases carried by these immigrants.”

Their assessment of the border crisis comes as more people not only blame Biden for the surge of illegal immigrants, but believe he is encouraging migrants to rush into the United States.

MEXICO CITY (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Authorities in Mexico announced on May 3 that they had relocated a migrant camp in a park in the border city of Reynosa, moving some 2,000 people from Central American and Haiti to a shelter in the city, across the border from McAllen, Texas.

The camp of migrants mainly from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Haiti sprung up after U.S. officials. citing the pandemic, invoked a a health rule that denies migrants a chance to seek asylum.

Mexico's National Immigration Institute said the migrants were taken near midnight Monday to the shelter, which it said will have better hygiene and food services.

But on Monday, people in another border city, Nuevo Laredo, said hundreds of migrants, mainly Haitians, have streamed into the city, which is across the border from Laredo, Texas

The rush apparently started after the U.S. began processing some asylum seekers there.

The Catholic bishop of Nuevo Laredo said Monday that migrant shelters there are already overcrowded, with some migrants sleeping outside in tents.-- excerpt, rest at link above --

Body of Angolan Migrant Child Found on Mexican Bank of Texas Border River

Mexican authorities found the body of an Angolan migrant child who went missing on May 2 during an illegal border crossing near the Del Rio International Bridge. The young boy disappeared after being swept away along with his brother. The parents survived the crossing.

Del Rio Station Border Patrol agents encountered an Angolan couple who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into Texas. The husband and wife informed the agents that their two boys, ages seven and nine, were swept away in the strong currents of the Rio Grande, according to information obtained from Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials.

A Del Rio Sector marine unit began a search of the area while officials in the Foreign Operations Branch contacted Mexican authorities to coordinate the search effort. The search did not lead to a rescue of the two missing boys.

Three days later, Mexican authorities found the body of a child matching the description provided by the Angolan parents. They found the child on the Mexican bank of the Rio Grande. The search also led to the discovery of an adult male in the same area.

Biden’s Border Crisis Is Back on the Nets: More Coverage in April Than Past 5 Months Combined

The network evening news in April rediscovered Joe Biden’s crisis on the southern border, offering more coverage than they had in the previous five months combined. And all it took for this was a record-smashing high for border crossings, the most in Department of Homeland Security history.

In April, there were 234,088 crossings, topping the record high from March of 2022, 221,303. From April 1 to April 30, NBC's Nightly News devoted 13 minutes and 30 seconds to the border crisis. The CBS Evening News came in second with seven minutes and 30 seconds and ABC’s World News Tonight was last with five minutes and 57 seconds.

That total of 26 minutes and 57 seconds dwarfs the previous five months combined. From November 1, 2021 to March 30, 2022 there was only 14 minutes and one second of coverage to the spiraling situation at the border.





Three out of those past five months (November, January and February) saw no coverage at all on the evening newscasts. In December, the networks managed just four minutes and 57 seconds and nine minutes and four seconds in March.

Most of the coverage in April revolved around the Biden administration’s attempt at lifting Title 42, a COVID-era health policy that allows for the immediate expulsion of illegals trying to cross the border. Word came down last Friday that a federal judge had blocked the effort (for now).

A marine vessel carrying 842 Haitian migrants en route to the United States accidentally landed in Villa Clara, Cuba, on Tuesday, baffling locals in a country enduring its own mass exodus, the independent outlet Cubanet reported Wednesday.

Cubanet noted that Castro regime-controlled media outlets confirmed the news and that reports indicated many of the hundreds of people on board were children, “including newborns.” The Communist Party is expected to deport the Haitian nationals back to their country, where they may be free to attempt to escape again.

Haiti, the poorest nation in the Americas, has faced a worsening social crisis since the assassination of President Jovenel Moise last summer as he slept in his home. Nearly a year later, warring criminal gangs and crisis-level poverty, with little to no reaction from the Haitian government, have prompted swelling numbers of fleeing citizens, many of them attempting to reach the United States.

Haiti still does not have a true president since Moise’s assassination. Prime Minister Ariel Henry, accused of playing a role in Moise’s assassination, has assumed presidential responsibilities since Moise’s killing. A third man, former Supreme Court justice Joseph Mécène Jean-Louis, who had declared himself the legitimate president of Haiti and Moise an impostor while he was alive, disappeared from the public eye after declaring himself president in February.

According to Cubanet, the Cuban regime broadcaster Telecubanacán confirmed the arrival of the Haitian migrants in a Facebook post Tuesday.

The post claimed that “over 800 people from Haiti” who intended to reach America had instead landed in Villa Clara, Cuba.

“In compliance with international norms, Cuban authorities immediately proceeded to provide them with medical care and humanitarian assistance,” the post claimed — a privilege the Cuban communist regime infamously denies to its own citizens. The state outlet claimed that it was in contact with the government of Haiti to “ensure the safe and voluntary return of these people to their country.”

On Monday, the United States Supreme Court ruled that unlawful migrants to the United States are not entitled to a bond hearing. The opinion stems from the migration of Antonio Arteaga-Martinez.

Arteaga-Martinez, a Mexican Citizen, came to the United States unlawfully on four occasions without inspection until May 2018, when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued a warrant for Arteaga-Martinez’s arrest after he had been living and working in the United States for almost six years. ICE’s detention of Arteaga-Martinez did not come with the opportunity for a bond hearing and he was set to be removed from the United States.

Arteaga-Martinez's attorney appealed in an attempt to stop his removal from the United States, citing his fear of prosecution or torture in Mexico. The DHS Asylum Officer who heard Martinez’s testimony found it to be reasonable and credible and referred Arteaga-Martinez to an immigration judge.

Arteaga-Martinez would remain in detention absent a ruling by an immigration judge, so, by his attorney, Arteaga-Martinez asked the U.S District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania to bring him before the court in what is known as a “Writ of Habeas Corpus” petition. This petition pivoted from the claims of fears of prosecution and instead argued his continued detention without a bond hearing was violative of his Federal Statutory Law and Constitutional rights.-- excerpt, rest at link above --

A federal judge in Texas has ruled against the Biden administration in a lawsuit brought by Texas and Louisiana over the administration releasing “criminal illegal aliens” into the U.S. instead of deporting them.

U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton issued a 96-page opinion in favor of Texas and Louisiana vacating a memorandum issued by Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. The judge said Mayorkas’ policy was “arbitrary and capricious, contrary to law, and failing to observe procedure under the Administrative Procedure Act.” Tipton also denied all other requested relief brought by the administration.

The ruling comes after law enforcement officers involved in Texas’ Operation Lone Star have made a record number of arrests of violent offenders with cartel and gang connections.

“I just dealt Biden another massive defeat in fed court,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement. “He tried to throw out immigration law, saying DHS didn’t have to detain criminal illegals. The court now says he must. I will always hold the line with the Dems and the rule of law.

TEXAS – (Office of the Governor) – Governor Greg Abbott today issued an executive order authorizing and empowering the Texas National Guard and the Texas Department of Public Safety to apprehend illegal immigrants who illegally cross the border between ports of entry and return them to the border. The Biden Administration’s decision to end Title 42 expulsions and the Remain-in-Mexico policy has led to historic levels of illegal crossings, with 5,000 migrants being apprehended over the July 4th weekend, creating a border crisis that has overrun communities along the border and across Texas.
