Sheriff Roy Boyd of Goliad County, Texas, joined other law enforcement officials from his state last week to raise alarm about the border crisis that’s wreaking havoc in America. These local officials, who confront the consequences daily, are now calling it an “invasion.”

“This is just a tidal wave of people coming across. It is an invasion. There’s no two ways about it,” Boyd says. “When you, as a taxpayer in the state of Texas, can’t utilize your own property because of the massive wave of people, it is an invasion, and that’s exactly what it is.”

The U.S. Supreme Court denied a bid by the Biden administration on Thursday to block a ruling from a federal judge that barred immigration officials from following its enforcement guidelines.

“The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to reinstate the Biden administration’s policy limiting immigration arrests after a Texas district judge said the guidance to deportation officers violated federal laws,” the Texas Tribune reported.

“The court instead said it will hear the merits of the case in December. The practical result is that the administration will not be able to implement its strategy for the rest of the year. The Biden administration had protested that it was unfair to allow a single district judge to disrupt the executive branch’s immigration priorities on a nationwide basis,” the outlet continued.

In a 5-4 vote, Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Amy Coney Barrett, and Ketanji Brown Jackson “indicated they would have granted the administration’s request to put the lower court ruling on hold and allow the administration to go forward with its policy while deciding the merits of the case.”

The one-page order stated:

The application for stay presented to Justice Alito and by him referred to the Court is denied. The Solicitor General suggested that the Court may want to construe the application as a petition for certiorari before judgment. Doing so, the petition is granted. The parties are directed to brief and argue the following questions: 1. Whether the state plaintiffs have Article III standing to challenge the Department of Homeland Security’s Guidelines for the Enforcement of Civil Immigration Law; 2. Whether the Guidelines are contrary to 8 U.S.C. §1226(c) or 8 U.S.C. §1231(a), or otherwise violate the Administrative Procedure Act; and 3. Whether 8 U.S.C. §1252(f)(1) prevents the entry of an order to “hold unlawful and set aside” the Guidelines under 5 U.S.C. §706(2). The case will be set for argument in the first week of the December 2022 argument session.

Republican Texas Rep. Lance Gooden sent a letter to the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Thursday to raise concerns about a possible effort to give illegal migrants IDs, according to a letter exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“When I demanded President Biden stop allowing illegal immigrants to use arrest warrants as ID to fly, I was hoping he’d stop flying them across the country. Instead, he’s decided to give them government IDs and risk the safety of our communities, the integrity of our elections, and the stability of our social safety net programs,” Gooden said in a statement to the DCNF. The Biden administration is weighing the implementation of a program to give IDs, ICE Secure Docket Cards (SDC) , “to provisionally released noncitizens,” an ICE spokesperson recently told the DCNF. The proposal is included in the fiscal year 2023 appropriations bill, meaning it could be put in place before the midterms, according to Axios.

“The Biden Administration must provide Congress with answers and end this absurd practice,” he added.

“Unless this program has rigorous guardrails to ensure adequate vetting, credentialing, and collection of biometrics, Secure Docket Cards will do nothing to secure our border, and the American people should be very concerned our entire national security framework is in jeopardy. I want to reiterate that, without collecting and properly utilizing biometrics, Secure Docket Cards will be useless and increase fraud and illegal immigration,” Gooden wrote in the letter to ICE Acting Director Tae Johnson.

The ID would include a photo, biographic identifiers and security features for the “mutual benefit of the government and noncitizens,” an ICE spokesperson told the DCNF. Gooden previously raised concerns about the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) allowing illegal aliens to use ICE civil arrest warrants as IDs at airports after the agency disclosed the program to his office in January, according to a letter exclusively obtained by the DCNF.

“If ICE is committed to ending human smuggling and trafficking, protecting vulnerable immigrants like women and children, and securing our border, then Secure Docket Cards must include biometric collection and utilization throughout the immigration lifecycle,” the Texas Republican added.

Biden Administration Confirms Plan to Give IDs to Illegal Immigrants

President Joe Biden’s administration has confirmed a plan that would give identification cards to illegal immigrants.

The pilot program from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is aimed at modernizing “documentation provided to some noncitizens,” an ICE spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email on July 29.

“Currently, noncitizens receive paper documents from the federal government about their immigration status. Paper documents pose a security risk, are easily lost, and degrade rapidly in real-world use, creating inefficiencies for the government and noncitizens. Moving to a secure card will save the agency millions, free up resources, and ensure information is quickly accessible to DHS officials while reducing the agency’s FOIA backlog,” the spokesperson said.

“For provisionally released noncitizens, the digital modernization will provide ongoing access to important immigration documents through the secure card and connected portal.”

DHS is the Department of Homeland Security, ICE’s parent agency. FOIA refers to the Freedom of Information Act.

The program is being described as a concept, with specifics still being decided.

Illegal immigrants who cross the border are supposed to be deported or detained until they appear in court, but that’s increasingly not the case.

A recent ICE program, called Alternatives to Detention, colloquially known as “catch and release,” sees many immigrants released before having a hearing. Many, but not all, are given a Notice to Appear, or a notice to show up at court on a certain date.

The Biden administration said in April it was going to release up to 600,000 illegal immigrants in the coming months amid the unprecedented surge in illegal immigration while a watchdog report released in June showed that the government is utilizing the program more as time goes on.
Concerns

Some Republicans are expressing worries about the program, saying that the Biden administration should work on cracking down on illegal immigration instead of making it easier for illegal immigrants to obtain identification.

“We are concerned that this pilot program is yet another Biden Administration move encouraging illegal immigration by rewarding illegal immigrants for breaking our laws,” Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, and Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.) wrote to acting ICE Director on July 29.

Under President Joe Biden, the United States has relaxed or reversed a number of Trump-era immigration policies.

The congressmen cited reports that said the card could let illegal immigrants travel by plane and receive benefits through certain aid programs, writing that the issuance of the cards “raises the possibility that illegal aliens will use these identification cards to improperly access benefits such as housing, healthcare, and transportation.”

Comer and Grothman asked for a briefing on the program as soon as possible and for documents and communications concerning the pilot by Aug. 12.

The ICE spokesperson said that the card “will not be an official form of federal identification” and “would be provided only after national security background checks have been performed.”

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) is also worried about the program.

He said on Newsmax on Friday that he is working on a bill that would block the Biden administration from issuing the cards.

“They’re illegal, undocumented. The only thing they should be able to access is a trip back across the border,” Van Drew said.

“So I’m doing legislation that is saying not one American tax dollar, or for that matter, any American dollar, can be spent for these cards,” he added.


It's time for, at a bare minimum, a class action lawsuit against him and the whole damned dem party.

Catch-and-release for all: Biden now seeks to allow online asylum applications from anywhere in the world

As if anyone needed more proof that the humanitarian disaster at the border is intentional and planned by the Bidenites, take a look at how they're trying to expand the right to claim asylum here from anywhere in the world.

According to Just The News:

Oklahoma Republican Sen. James Lankford, who recently visited the U.S.-Mexico border, is warning that President Joe Biden's online asylum system is an "open invitation for Chinese spies" and all of Yemen to enter the U.S.

That's right, as if the border surge didn't serve as sufficient warning to them about the foolishness of taking all comers who claim asylum, the Bidenites are now planning to make it even easier to claim asylum, opening up an online system for anyone, anywhere, to get into the U.S. by filing from abroad and flying on in. Just the News continued:

Just the News asked Lankford if DHS officials responded to his concerns during a meeting with lawmakers.

"It's in design, we're discussing it, we're looking at it ... we're trying to evaluate how we're going to do it," he said, paraphrasing the department's responses.

"But they're very clear," Lankford emphasized. "They're planning this asylum system to be able to do asylum from anywhere in the world."

And yes, Lankford is right about the Chinese spies. And the Russian ones. And the Iranian ones. After all, who is most likely in those dictatorships to actually have access to the internet? That's right, the spies, the government organs, the loyalists. As for the actual dissidents who might need asylum, well, who is most likely to have internet access cut off by such governments? That's right, the people who might actually qualify for asylum. That makes the online asylum application process an absolute magnet for spies -- as well as the world's lower middle classes who are well-interrneted. The truly poor, of course, have no internet access but the urbanized lower middle classes -- the shantytown dwellers, the kind of people who vote for Hugo Chavez, certainly do, as do advanced gang members such as Mexico's increasingly sophisticated cartels. The same dynamic applies to airfares, which can be quite pricey from dictatorships and failed states such as Iran or Yemen.

Such realities seem opaque to the Bidenites who are promoting this bright idea. Or, there' something diabolical going on with the Department of Homeland Security, led by the increasingly shady and suspicious Alejandro Mayorkas.

Lankford pointed out just how illegal and abusable the bad idea was, too:


Under the emerging plans, asylum seekers "can just say, 'I have credible fear,' fly into the country, be here for eight years while they await their hearing," Lankford told Just the News after speaking at the America First Summit last week. "This is an open invitation for Chinese spies to be able to come into the country. It's an open invitation for everyone to come from Yemen, to say it's a war-torn country.

"Immigration is not designed to be just open to anyone who wants to come. Asylum is the same definition as refugee. If you're a refugee, you go to the next safest country, andthcoming you go there. They're turning this on its head, saying if anyone wants to come to America for any reason, just come here, and we'll just take you from everywhere. That's not what we're designed to be able to do."

And when Lankford says 'designed' he's being gentle and delicate. The U.S. Constitution states that only Congress can set the numbers of migrants allowed into the country, not the executive branch, so there's a hard law issue here about to be violated, as if what has happened at the border is not violation enough.

It's an outrageous expansion of the already problematic asylum system which has seen 3 million illegal border crossers rolling in in record numbers into the U.S. with zero vetting, the highest numbers on record, in stark violation of established U.S. law.

It's can only be described as a de facto erasure of the borders, and now the Bidenites plan to extend it to airports, creating the mother of all free-for-alls as perverts, spies, terrorists, cartel members, gangsters, chiselers, fraudsters, fourth-world America-haters, and the unassimilable who cannot be happy in this country flood on in, all of them saying the magic word 'asylum' and then taking the work permits and U.S. residency as they await a Biden-approved "asylum officer," -- who is not even a judge presumably wedded to rule of law, but an open-borders activist -- to sign them on in permanently. That opens the gates for them to apply for U.S. citizenship and to vote here with their values and interests legally. Many, of course, skip that citizenship issue before voting.

It seems to be part of a broader plan, an intentional plan to open the borders to foreigners with Rep. Ilhan Omar's "values" that they don't like to talk about.

In a recent interview, an anonymous whistleblower who works as a "travel youth care worker" for a federally funded contractor, shared that tens of thousands of unaccompanied migrant children are being bussed and flown throughout the US and being handed off to unvetted adult "sponsors."

The employee, who works for the government contracted company, MVM Inc., said that the company’s main focus is getting unaccompanied minors from "Point A, shelters," to "Point B, sponsors," across the US.

However, due to the overwhelming number of border crossings, the employee shared that new hires for MVM Inc. are not being given proper background checks, "a lot of people" get hired, and "their background hasn’t even come in yet."

He also explained that due to the mass amount of migrant children being escorted, employees are not properly vetting the adults they’re handing these kids off to.

An email sent to employees of MVM Inc. highlighted multiple issues that were brought to the MVM site manager’s attention, including "TSs (Travel Escorts) taking the liberty of accepting alternate documents without FFS approval."

The whistleblower goes on to explain that, "It’s an email where they’re pinpointing that, hey you guys are accepting stuff, IDs that were not approved. You guys are approving these people who are not on the list or were not approved."

"Sometimes there are people who are not even on any documents for the child, and it tends to happen where these sponsors will show up and they will say, 'oh, I’m here for the kid,' but it’s really the sister or a neighbor, cause the sponsor didn’t feel like going."

When asked why an adult would want to sponsor one of these children, he shared that the US Dept of Health and Human Services (HHS) provides migrant children with a form of documentation.

The employee shared that when he drops off a child, "The sponsor will say 'Hey, my sister was able to get her driver's license in LA. They were able to get her driver's license in New York City with this paper. Do you have it?" He further explains that the child sponsors can also use this paper as their own form of identification to acquire a driver license in sanctuary cities such as New York or Los Angeles.-- excerpt, rest at link above --

Biden Has Released 250,000 Unaccompanied Illegal Immigrant Children Into The US

In 2012, Barack Obama's Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano rolled out the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” program, also known as DACA. Over 800,000 illegal immigrant children (or more) have been blocked from deportation and allowed to remain in the US through the DACA program through 2021.

Donald Trump moved to terminate DACA but the Supreme Court backed immigration advocates in 2020.

In July 2021, a federal judge ruled that first-time DACA applicants were barred from applying to the program. All individuals whose DACA requests were approved prior to July 16, 2021 will continue to have DACA status and all DACA requests that were approved before July 16 will continue to be eligible to renew DACA and DACA work permits.

DACA allowed noncitizens who were then under the age of 31 and had entered America before turning 16 years old and before 2007 to request that the government not deport them. DACA children, also called “DREAMers” for the sake of political optics, were not granted technical citizenship status, but were granted most of the benefits of citizenship anyway, including driver's licenses, work permits and social security numbers. In many states this kind of documentation also allows them to vote despite living in the US illegally.

Even though DACA has been shut down, Joe Biden has allowed over 257,000 illegal minors into the US to be relocated according to recent data from US Customs and Border Protection. They are not accompanied by parents and are often farmed out to foster or “sponsor” homes across the country. Keep in mind these are official government stats, which tend to under-report illegal immigration activity.

Like Obama, Biden has continued to ignore constitutional law on immigration, which says that only Congress is able to determine immigration levels within any given period of time.

The scheme is rather obvious – Import illegal immigrant children using their age and circumstances as an empathy shield against critics, then keep them in the US so long that it then becomes socially unacceptable to deport them when they are adults. Thus, they receive de facto citizenship without Congress having a say in the matter because “the poor children,” and leftists buy hundreds of thousands of future voters in the process.

These unilateral policies have created an epidemic of illegal migrants, especially young children, along US Border states, along with rampant human trafficking and other highly unsavory criminal activities. Border and refugee agencies have struggled to keep up with the constant arrivals of children, with thousands coming per week setting new records.

Open border advocates claim that many of these children are sent into the US alone because they already have family on the other side. This is nonsense. In order to apply for asylum or refugee status under DACA or any other immigration program, one of the requirements is that the child has no parent or legal guardian living in America.

They also claim that the children are exploited in their home countries and this is why they must stay within the US, but there is no evidence to support the notion that the majority of illegal children are escaping exploitation. What we do know is that if children make these claims they are more likely to receive refugee status and be resettled or get asylum later on. In other words, the incentives to claim abuse and exploitation are numerous. The vast majority of DACA children cross the border with no plan and no one to take care of them, with the chance of kidnapping growing each year. Truly, this must be the act of loving caring parents that want the best for their kids.

American taxpayers shell out AT LEAST $9.4 billion per year to provide care for illegal migrant children including DACA recipients. Some estimates indicate that the Biden Administration is spending over $60 million per week to shelter unaccompanied minors.

And here is perhaps the real reason why parents would send their vulnerable children into the US alone: Free child care, and potential future citizenship which they can then use to bring more family members into the US later. WASHINGTON – The Biden administration reaffirmed its commitment Tuesday to DACA, officially posting regulations to extend the 10-year-old program that has protected hundreds of thousands of young undocumented immigrants.

The rule, which takes effect Oct. 31, makes few changes to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and it does not move it any closer to becoming law – a key shortcoming for advocates who lived through Trump administration efforts to overturn the program.

“Any program that is created by one president can be undone by another,” said Jose Patiño, vice president of education and external affairs at Aliento. “That is an issue we have seen with DACA.”

Patiño said groups like his “are looking at all avenues” to pressure Congress into passing comprehensive immigration reform that would enshrine and expand DACA.

But critics said that is not likely to happen, noting that DACA had to be approved as a regulation because Congress could not reach agreement on immigration legislation. Matthew O’Brien, director of investigations at the Immigration Reform Law Institute, called DACA “a federal regulation that doesn’t have any statutory authority underlying it.”

“The fact is that Congress put restrictions on immigration for a reason and the president, whether it is Obama or Biden, doesn’t have any authority to unilaterally change those because they don’t like the restrictions that are in place,” said O’Brien, a former immigration judge.

It was during then-President Barack Obama’s first term that the Department of Homeland Security first enacted DACA as an administrative rule that said Dreamers – undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children – would not be priorities for removal.

The program deferred deportation of those immigrants for up to two years, protection that is renewable. It did not provide a path to citizenship, instead granting them “lawfully present” status, which allowed them to legally obtain work permits, drivers’ licenses and more.

Immigrants had to apply for the protection, paying fees and showing they had continuously been in the U.S., had a clean record and were in school or the military, among other requirements.

As many as 776,000 people have been protected by the program, and there were 611,470 active DACA recipients in the U.S. at the end of 2021, with 23,090 of them in Arizona.

Critics have said since the start that DACA is an abuse of executive power and former President Donald Trump vowed to overturn it. Those efforts ultimately failed, but legal challenges since have had some success stifling the program.

The most recent ruling, from a federal district court in Texas, said DACA could continue to protect current recipients, who can reapply for coverage. But it said DHS cannot accept applications from Dreamers not previously covered.

Border Patrol agents have encountered over 80 Terror Watchlist suspects at the southern U.S. border since President Biden took office less than two years ago, a dramatic increase from previous years, Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott says.

Border officers encountered 66 non-U.S. citizens suspected of terrorism from October 2021 to July 2022, according to the most recent data for this fiscal year.

Agents encountered 15 suspected terrorists in fiscal 2021, when some Trump administration policies were still in effect for several months.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is being urged to disclose details of illegal alien brothers charged with murdering sheriff’s deputy Ned Byrd in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Wake County, North Carolina.

Prosecutors allege that in the early morning of August 12, brothers 25-year-old Alder Alfonso Sotelo and 29-year-old Arturo Marin Sotelo shot and killed 48-year-old Byrd in Raleigh, North Carolina, after he had gotten out of his unmarked patrol vehicle. Byrd’s K9 partner Sasha was left in the vehicle at the time.

This week, Breitbart News exclusively reported that Alder Alfonso Sotelo and Arturo Marin Sotelo are illegal aliens from Mexico who arrived in the United States via the southern border on unknown dates. Arturo Marin Sotelo, in particular, was caught crossing the border in June 2010.

Ted Budd (R-NC) are urging Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to disclose details about the illegal alien brothers as well as their other brother, 18-year-old Rolando Marin Sotelo, also an illegal alien, who has been arrested for being in possession of a firearm.

“In light of the serious nature of this matter, we request that you transmit to our offices the alien files and all relevant and pertinent information for the following individuals: Arturo Marin Sotelo, Alder Alfonso Marin Sotelo, Rolando Marin-Sotelo,” Tillis and Budd write:

We are deeply concerned by the public reporting by local news media that is currently available about these individuals. We look forward to your swift response to our concerns as we seek answers for why this heinous crime was committed and whether it could have been prevented by immigration enforcement. While I'm glad they're asking these questions, there are many, many other people who have been killed, murdered, otherwise harmed by illegals and they haven't asked those questions for those people. Kate Steinle for one.
