Portland Protesters Caught on Video Beating Man Unconscious Following Truck Crash

Video from the encounter shows that the driver was forced to the ground by protesters nearby, who continued to physically and verbally accost him. This continued until one of the protesters ran up to the man’s side from behind and kicked him in the face. The man was eventually attended to by a medic and hospitalized afterwards.

“The incident is under investigation and no arrests have been made,” the statement reads.

The Portland Police Bureau released a statement on the evening, saying it began with “a peaceful rally and speeches.” (Yeah, yeah, whatever....) As time went on though, they received reports of vandalism, assaults in the area of the incident, and a “hostile crowd” that complicated the situation for police presence.

Portland police continue search for suspect Marquise Love

The Portland Police Bureau continues its search for the suspect who allegedly attacked a truck driver during a riot in the city as a security company that once employed the man denounces the assault and denies any current association with him.

There have been no publicly announced updates regarding the manhunt for Marquise Love, who also goes by the name “Keese Love.” Police said Tuesday they had made several attempts to contact Love, for whom they have probable cause to arrest, and are now working to locate him.

Authorities have said Love was involved in the vicious attack of a man that was caught on video that circulated on social media.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a 911 call from someone who reported that protesters “chased a white Ford” four-by-four truck, which then crashed in the downtown area, according to a department press release. Protesters then dragged the driver out of the vehicle, one caller stated. Another told police an estimated nine to 10 people began “beating the guy,” the caller stated.

“Investigators learned that the victim may have been trying to help a transgender female who had some of her things stolen in the area … where this incident began,” police said late Monday.

The man has since been released from the hospital and is at home recovering, police said.

Meanwhile, the chief operating officer of a company that has been associated with Love, Star Security, said Tuesday in a press release that it had employed the now-wanted man from January to March 2020 but has not had any association with him since.

Portland protesters beat driver unconscious after he crashes truck

The driver who was beaten unconscious by a Black Lives Matter mob in Portland shared an anti-George Floyd post on Facebook hours before the assault.

The post appeared on Adam Haner’s Facebook page Sunday evening, referring to the police-involved death of Floyd and the fatal shooting of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant in North Carolina.

“George Floyd was a 46-year old felon, high on Fentanyl, and he got 4 televised funerals and 70 days of riots,” the post reads. “What does 5-year old Cannon Hinnant get?”

“I ain’t tryna hurt no one,” Haner told the crowd.

His Facebook page is filled with dozens of other memes, including an “all lives matter” post and one that says, “Would it be wrong to follow rioters home and burn down their properties? Asking for a friend.”
