'I am almost at that point, I have to say, it has to be considered seriously,' de Blasio said Wednesday morning
Despite de Blasio's concerns, Gov Andrew Cuomo has pushed back on such an order for the Big Apple
Cuomo, who would make the final call on a lockdown, said: 'The fear is a bigger problem than the virus'
He also warned the state needs to increase its hospital bed capacity by 50,000 in the coming weeks

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Thursday continued to resist calls for a shelter in place order but admitted 'confusion' for New Yorkers amid his ongoing spat with Mayor Bill de Blasio on how to best deal with the coronavirus crisis.

Cuomo told the Today show the 'fear and the panic' can 'get out of control' more than the virus can.
