Atilis Bellmawr Members is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Frank Trumbetti.

This fund will be for the defense of Atilis Gym Bellmawr members as well as staff and volunteers.Money will also be utilized to pay the bills for the months we have been closed due to the COVID pandemic. A few of the members, along with owners Frank and Ian were served with summons throughout the week. The Atilis Bellmawr Attorney Kevin Barry will be representing all of our staff and members who incur any charges. This fund is to support the efforts to reopen and stay open, as well as assist in any financial hardships the staff or members endure due to the shutdown. From the bottom of our hearts we thank every one of you for supporting us through this tough time- and we are thankful for any funds donated to us. All money not used will be donated to other businesses who have been fined for reopening.

A New Jersey gym had its license rescinded during a town vote on Tuesday, ending a long-running saga that saw its owners repeatedly defy a state order to remain closed during the coronavirus pandemic, according to multiple reports.

The Bellmawr council in Camden County voted 5 to 1 to rescind the mercantile license of Atilis Gym following an hourlong hearing that featured arguments from lawyers on both sides, according to NJ.com. The decision came amid a monthslong standoff between the gym's owners and Gov. Phil Murphy over the importance of limiting the spread of the virus or the livelihood of local businesses.

"In a clear political move, the all democrat town council followed their orders from Gov. Murphy to revoke our business license," said Ian Smith, one of the gym's owners on Instagram following the hearing. "Zero evidence was put forth to support the claim that @atilisgymbellmawr poses any threat to the public."

Smith, 33, vowed in May to reopen the gym with social distancing measures in place, which drew a crowd of supporters who gathered outside the facility to protest Murphy's stay-at-home mandates -- issued when New Jersey was one of the hardest-hit areas during the pandemic.

He told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" last month that he had been served "citation after citation ... " and was shut down by the local health department. Smith added that he and co-owner Frank Trumbetti, 51, had been arrested July 27 after they were held in contempt of court upon refusing to leave the gym.

Ian Smith appeared Thursday on Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" and told the host that he and business partner Frank Trumbetti checked their bank statement Wednesday morning "and we had no money in our bank account. The state emptied out every single dollar that we have."

Smith on Wednesday tweeted that far-left New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) "and his cronies seized 100%" of the Bellmawr gym's "legal defense money" to the tune of $173,613.60. Smith added, "If you think that's gonna make us stand down, you're delusional." In a video tweet Thursday, Smith cited an amount of $165,000. The gym on Friday didn't immediately respond to TheBlaze's request for clarification on the dollar amount.

The co-owner of a Camden County gym at the center of a long legal fight is speaking out. It’s been four years since they refused to shut down after New Jersey deemed them non-essential during the pandemic, and now they are declaring victory. NBC10’s Brian Sheehan has the latest.

The owner of a New Jersey gym that violated COVID protocols and faced more than 80 charges and summons after opening amid the pandemic, in violation of requirements set by Gov. Phil Murphy, has seen all of the charges dropped.

In an interview with NBC10's Brian Sheehan, Frank Trumbetti of Williamstown, who initially co-owned Atilis Gym in Bellmawr with Ian Smith of Delanco Township, said all the charges he and Smith faced -- including opening a non-essential business amid the pandemic, creating a public nuisance and related charges -- were dropped on Tuesday.

"It’s just been a long time coming," Trumbetti said.

Trumbetti said that a judge dropped all charges and 80 summons that the owners faced after they opened amid the pandemic.
