The Institute for Energy Resources, a free-market energy research group, updated its running list of actions President Joe Biden and Democrats have taken to make it harder to produce energy since Biden took office. The list has grown to 225 laws, regulations and decisions making it more expensive and take longer to produce oil, gas and coal.

The list hit 200 in March after growing by 25 from the previous September. The newest actions since March, many of which target oil and gas development in Alaska, include:

Cutting oil and gas land auctions by 3,000 in New Mexico
Passing a final methane rule regulating emissions on public land
New EPA emissions standards for heavy-duty trucks
Blocking 23 million acres of Alaska to oil and gas drilling
Restricting new oil and gas leasing on 13 million acres of Alaska
Rejecting the Ambler Access Road, blocking mining development in Alaska
Finalizing rules to create “conservation leases,” which block resource development

The latest item is the efforts in May at the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Climate, Energy and the Environment to phase out existing coal generation by 2035.-- excerpt, rest at link above --
