As migrants surge into the United States from Mexico in the wake of Title 42 ending, it is not only our border towns and major cities being swamped – but also President Joe Biden’s legacy and prospects for re-election.

How ironic, really, that it took a Trump-era policy, one of the last in place, to keep any semblance of order.

For, just 24 hours without the strict migrant-deportation order has exposed all too clearly how a hapless Biden can do nothing but watch the disaster he has wrought unfold.

If there is to be a rematch of the 2020 presidential race, this is the moment that could come to define it, an event that will not only touch the lives of most Americans, but could change forever the nature of our country.

We are now little more than a day into the post-Title 42 world and already 22,000 souls are massed on the border across from Brownsville, Texas, alone.

Already bus-loads of migrants are being shipped across the country to ease the load on our Southern states and overworked border agents.

And already, the number of people caught crossing illegally this week has topped a staggering 10,000 per day.

This is an absolute tidal wave – and Americans are only just beginning to see how dire this will be; a coming tsunami of suffering born of Biden’s dangerous negligence.

The sights, sounds, even smells from the border are horrifying as helpless families are left in squalid conditions.

In the streets of El Paso, Texas, babies scream out from under tarpaulins tied to garbage cans.

And it’s coming to a city near you!

In a grim hark back to the emergency pop-up hospitals of the pandemic, New York is discussing plans to create a tent city on Central Park to house migrants.

And, like the Hoovervilles of the Great Depression, every town from sea to shining sea should expect their own Bidenville soon.

In Portland, Maine – about as far from the Southern border as the Biden administration is from competence – a basketball arena is housing hundreds of asylum seekers.

In Denver, officials expect to burn through $20 million dollars in just six months dealing with the crisis.

Surely the evil Mexican cartels, happy to deal in drugs or human lives, had May 12th circled on the calendar as a holiday – no need for complicated trafficking operations without that pesky Title 42 in the way.

As the policy was expiring on Thursday night, Senator Ted Cruz summed it up when he told President Biden: ‘The people who are killed crossing illegally, that is your fault. The women who are sexually abused crossing illegally, that is your fault. The children who are brutalized crossing illegally, that is your fault. The people who are dying of drug overdoses — over 100,000 last year — that is your fault.’

But what does our president have to say about all of this?

He says it's going to be ‘chaotic for a while’.

Chaotic? Chaotic is getting out of the parking lot after a Taylor Swift concert. This is a deadly humanitarian disaster that you, Mr President, and your band of and open-border buffoons have created.

Since our Commander in Chief won’t, or maybe can’t, speak intelligently about the border crisis he sends out Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, arguably the administration’s least competent cabinet member, which is already a tightly contested title.

A tone-deaf Mayorkas told CBS on Friday morning that though the situation is ‘tough… we are going to continue to execute our plan… it will succeed.’

Sure thing, buddy.

Is it any wonder that clever Republican governors such as Gregg Abbot in Texas and Florida’s Ron DeSantis have been busing migrants to sapphire-blue locales like New York City, Washington DC and Martha’s Vineyard?

The only way these out-of-touch Democrats will start to get it is if they feel this crisis on their own doorsteps.
