As the vaccine rollout to adolescents continues, so does the increasing number of young people suffering and dying from serious cardiac events.

13-year-old Jack Thomas O’Drain passed away unexpectedly on January 4th after collapsing on New Year’s Eve. According to a social media post by his father Trent, Jack suffered an ‘unexplainable’ cardiac arrest while playing with his friends. He was rushed to Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia before being put on life support.

According to his obituary:

“Jack will always be remembered for his big heart, love of learning and loyalty to family and friends. He was extremely bright; he attended Voorhees Middle School and was a part of the Science Olympiad Organization. Jack enjoyed playing the saxophone and practiced at the NJ School of Music in Medford. He loved the outdoors; hiking, camping and fishing were some of his favorite activities. Jack loved game nights playing monopoly, rummy 500 or watching a good movie but most of all it was the time he spent with his family and friends that he treasured the most.”

Sarah Jessica Blattner, a 14-year-old American girl with a health condition, died in her sleep on October 12 after suffering a heart attack after receiving a single dose of Pfizer five months earlier.

His parents decided to speak up three months after his death and urged people not to vaccinate their children. For them, it was a huge “mistake.”

Blattner was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 9 months. She survived and has been cancer-free for 11 years, according to a Twitter post in 2020.

According to a Facebook page, Blattner’s mother, Ilana, shared that she should be given the COVID vaccine because she is at risk for her health. “It was necessary to give him the vaccine because of the narrowing of the lungs due to scoliosis (curvature of the spine) which he had started since he was a child (due to oncological diseases he had been suffering from for two years).”-- excerpt, rest at link above --

An 18-year-old Brazilian model died on Sunday reportedly due to COVID-19 complications despite receiving 2 doses of Pfizer vaccine, the Covid world reported.

Valentina Boscardin was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was hospitalized at São Paulo. On Thursday, her condition worsened and she developed thrombosis, a formation of a blood clot according to reports. Other media, as well as friends, added pneumonia as another factor of her death.

According to her mother, Brazilian TV reporter Marcia Boscardin, her daughter was healthy. Local news outlet said Valentina had no other health complications nor comorbidities.

MUNICH (AP) -- Bayern Munich left back Alphonso Davies has been sidelined with evidence of heart muscle inflammation after being infected with the coronavirus, coach Julian Nagelsmann said Friday.

The Canada international will be out of action for at least “the coming weeks” after the inflammation, known as myocarditis, was detected in a follow-up examination after his return to training this week, Nagelsmann said. The coach described the inflammation as “mild” and “not so dramatic,” citing the results of an ultrasound examination.
